Dr. Worley is doubly board certified in Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Primary Care by the American Board of Medical Specialties (in Podiatry) with special credentials in Laser Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Dr. Worley was certified in laser surgery in 1986. He has taught this surgical skill to numerous other doctors and has performed thousands of laser operations. He personally has had laser nail surgery performed by a doctor who trained with him.
Lasers allow very comfortable removal of soft-tissue lesions and treatment of nail problems. Because the heat from a laser beam does not spread out into adjacent tissues, there is less pain. This results in faster healing. In most cases, there is no time off your feet.
Laser procedures are very effective for ingrown and fungal toenails, warts, cysts, skin growths, bursae, fibrosis, scars, spider veins, and tattoos. These procedures are in-office, thus achieving great cost effectiveness.

Benefits of new laser technology:
The New York College of Podiatric Medicine has received a donation from PathoLase, Inc., of the company's patented new PinPointe™ FootLaser™ for the treatment of onychomycosis, and will be teaching the College's students to use the new technology in conjunction with a clinical research study to be conducted at the College's clinical affiliate, Foot Clinics of New York.
Dr. Michael Trepal, NYCPM Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, said, "We are very pleased to have the PinPointe FootLaser at the College to educate our students and faculty on an alternative method for treating the difficult and debilitating condition known as onychomycosis. We are also pleased that, as part of the clinical education we offer, and as part of the upcoming clinical trial, we will soon be able to offer patients at our clinical affiliate, Foot Clinics of New York, this alternative, non-invasive approach for patients suffering from toenail fungus." Foot Clinics of New York expects that it will be able to start offering treatment with the PinPointe FootLaser beginning in late June.
